My child designed a sun catcher to deter birds from our fruit trees. She used transparent beads to fill a plastic tube and had the idea of putting holes in the lid to add string for hanging. She layered the beads from smallest to largest a-likening it to layers of sediment. She described its finished appearance as prismatic, holographic and kaleidoscopic.
