Animal Play
- The 3 year old student learned to categorize animals based on where they live, such as farm animals, jungle animals, and animals that live in the ocean.
- Through sorting, the child also learned to differentiate between animals based on their characteristics, such as size, color, and type of animal (mammals, birds, reptiles).
- By participating in the activity, the student developed the ability to recognize patterns and sequences, such as sorting animals by size from smallest to largest or vice versa.
Continued development can include introducing more complex sorting criteria, such as sorting animals based on their diet or the sounds they make. Encouraging the child to create their own sorting categories will further develop their critical thinking and creativity.
