Continued development in English Language Arts can be encouraged by having the child write out the steps for unloading the dishwasher in their own words, using proper grammar and punctuation. They can also practice giving verbal instructions to someone else to complete the task. Additionally, reading and following recipes can help with comprehension and following instructions in a different context.
