CLAY IN THE PARK clay work and techniques lead by Australian artist Svetlana Panov VISIT TO ART GALLERIES: Lewers Art Gallery, Springwood Mural Walk, Springwood flowers and Sculptures Art Odyssey _ IVAN: Building ceramic bowls and jugs, Observational drawing/ fabric painting and collage, Glazing ceramic bowls and jugs, Mosaics, Sketching in the garden/ drawing with pastels, Collage, Continuing collage project, Finishing artworks and mini exhibition MARKETS Creating artwork and craft to sell at HS market: felt bookmarks, braided friendship bracelets, macrame crystal necklace, cards created using paint blowing technique. Excursion to the Penrith Musem of Printing. The Penrith Museum of Printing provided us with knowledge and understanding of how the printed word used to be produced before the advent of the computer. We learned about the old machinery and even saw how it works. We saw a fully operational linotype type setting machine which really is an amazing piece of machinery. We were able to typeset our own names and they were printed onto a certificate on the Albion Press. DANCE: We attended the Celtic Illusion performance and ourselves participated in a Bollywood workshop where we learned a dance. We also got the opportunity to learn about henna art and create our own henna designs.
