Lucy, Finn and Minaya talked about their plans for building a fire pit at our patch of land.  They discussed the following: What types of materials could they use? What did they need to keep in mind (safety, what is a combustible material, what if there is wind etc). What materials were already available and what needed to purchased? What ws the cost of the materials they were considering buying and what their budget was. All three children contributed orally to the planning session and Lucy wrote down the plans.   They worked out that they had all the materials they needed for the basic fire pit, so they would be able to start building straight away, but they made a list of the things they would buy to make it better when they had more money, and how much each of them would pay to split the cost equally.
