have had lots of conversations regarding mental health and wellbeing and have discovered Toby needs simplicity in order to sustain a happy balanced life. We have discussed different ways that I can help support as well as the different things Toby will need to do himself. Toby is now able to talk about things that he struggles with. Previously Toby was unable and just became dysregulated rather than being able to verbalise his needs. He has made some changes to routines and explored different coping mechanisms such as easy nutrition rather than making the meals everyday (also batch cooking and freezing).
There have been discussions regarding online safety and group situations involving peer pressure and they have demonstrated their understanding well, particularly when a friend is struggling, they have given excellent advice or support and discussed with me during and after.
