Tips

Extend the learning by having the child create a “Group Charter” that lists shared values, rules, and roles for a chosen club or hobby group. Follow up with a role‑play session where students act out common group scenarios—planning an event, resolving a disagreement, or welcoming a new member—to practise communication and conflict‑resolution skills. Invite the child to interview a family member about a social group they belonged to and compare past and present group dynamics. Finally, map the child’s own social network on a large sheet of paper, colour‑coding different types of groups (family, school, sports) to visualise connections and reflect on where they feel most supported.
