Jeremy attended OT with Pixie and created a detailed mind map about everything needed to care for a pet snake. He organised his ideas clearly and included lots of specific information, which showed strong planning, memory, and attention to detail. Christie noticed a big improvement in his pencil control and fine detail, so Jeremy's drawing work also reflected growing motor precision and pride in his effort. During the mental health check-in, Jeremy showed improved self-awareness and reported much more positive feelings about himself, life, and schooling, suggesting increasing emotional confidence and a healthier view of his learning experience.
Tips
To extend Jeremy's learning, he could reread a short section of Book 12 and retell it using beginning, middle, and end to strengthen comprehension and sequencing. He could also turn the Leonardo da Vinci model into a design challenge by labelling the parts and explaining how each part helped the machine fly. For movement, he could create his own obstacle course and describe which stations required balance, strength, or speed. To build on his OT work, Jeremy could make another mind mapthis time for caring for a different animaland compare the two charts to practise organising information in more complex ways.
