Mathematics
The 4-year-old used a construction set with parts that could become three different projects. Tips: Invite the child to count or sort the pieces before building, then ask which parts appear in more than one project. Encourage the child to describe each design using position words such as above, beside, inside, and underneath. After completing one model, provide time to rebuild or modify it and ask, “What changed?” Photograph the three projects and let the child dictate a sentence about each one, turning the experience into a simple building journal.
