English Language Arts
- The child will learn to recognize and identify words with the blend "s" in them.
- They will practice listening skills as they listen to the teacher say different words and identify the ones with the "s" blend.
- They will develop phonics skills by sounding out and blending the "s" blend words.
- The activity will help improve their vocabulary as they come across new words with the "s" blend.
For continued development, encourage the child to practice identifying blends in other words, not just limited to "s". They can create their own blend word cards and play a matching game with a partner. They can also write sentences using words with blends and practice reading them aloud.
