• The first-grade child learned about the life cycle of plants, including the stages of seed, sprout, plant, flower, and fruit.

For continued development, encourage the child to explore other life cycles in nature. They can observe and document the life cycle of insects, animals, or even different plants. They can create a visual representation of a life cycle using drawings or crafts, or even act out the stages of a life cycle in a play or skit. Encourage them to ask questions and make connections between different life cycles they observe.
