- The child learned about Suleiman and the Ottoman Turks, an Islamic Sultan who wanted to expand his empire in Europe, Asia, and Africa. They learned about his control over trade routes and how it made him wealthy.
- The child began to learn about the Protestant Reformation (Martin Luther) and Swiss Reformation (Ulrich Zwingli), as well as the persecution of the Anabaptists for their beliefs.
For continued development, encourage the child to explore more about these historical figures and events through hands-on activities. They can create their own maps of Magellan's journey or build models of the Maya and Inca Empires. They can also research more about the Protestant Reformation and the impact it had on European history.
