Today when playing Minecraft (in the world that Riley created for us to play in yesterday), Riley caught a pufferfish with a fishing line and gave it to me to eat. In Minecraft, eating a pufferfish poisons you and makes you nauseous and hungry. Riley gave me a bucket of milk to drink to combat the poison. The lead to a discussion about whether milk really combats poison in real life. We found out that milk does not counteract any ingested poison. When a poison has been swallowed, giving milk is no more effective than giving water. The important thing is diluting whatever has been swallowed.
