Riley asked how much money you would have if you started with a $1 and doubled it each day, so we grabbed a pen and some paper to work it out. Riley recognized that at day 20, $534,288 was more than half a million dollars and he knew that doubling it would give more than a million dollars. He recognised that we reached over a million dollars on day 21, over a billion dollars on day 31, over a trillion dollars on day 41 and over a quadrillion dollars on day 51. Riley was able to read out the numbers correctly, for example for day 32 Riley told me that we had 2 billion , 147 million, 483 thousand and 648.
