Science
- The student has learned that matter exists in three states: solid, liquid, and gas.
- They have understood that each state of matter has distinct properties and behaviors.
- They have learned about the processes of melting, freezing, evaporation, and condensation.
- The student has grasped the concept that matter can change from one state to another by the addition or removal of heat energy.
To further develop their understanding of the states of matter, the student can conduct simple experiments at home. They can explore how different substances, such as water, wax, or oil, behave when heated or cooled. They can also investigate how changing the pressure affects the behavior of gases. Encourage them to record their observations and draw conclusions from their experiments.
