Brodie really enjoys looking through catalogues and shop brochures, often telling us what he likes, the items names and prices, he also often describes it uses or attached an experience or story to it, we use this as an opportunity to expand on reading by pointing to the words, and build on his expressive language skills.

English Language Arts

For continued development, encourage Brodie to create his own pretend store, using household items as products and assigning prices to them. This will further develop his language skills as he acts as both shopkeeper and customer, and will also strengthen his understanding of math concepts like addition, subtraction, and making change.
