Math
- The student practices counting by identifying the number of LEGO pieces used to build each person.
- They engage in simple addition and subtraction by combining and taking away LEGO pieces to create different characters.
- They understand spatial awareness and measurement as they compare the sizes and lengths of LEGO figures.
- They explore patterns and symmetry by creating balanced and visually appealing LEGO people.
Encourage the child to sort the LEGO pieces by color, size, and shape, and then count and compare them. Introduce the concept of more and less by having the child add or remove LEGO pieces to make the people taller or shorter, wider or narrower. Have them measure the height and width of each person using other LEGO blocks as a reference. Lastly, suggest creating LEGO people with identical patterns and colors on both sides to introduce the concept of symmetry.
