As a family we discussed Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine. We discussed the break up of the Soviet Union with many Soviet satellite states returning to independent rule. We talked about the specific geopolitical history of the Ukraine and what is happening now. Finally, we looked at the region in a current atlas (and globe) and then compared it to an atlas from 1981.
