Language Arts
- The student has learned to identify the initial sound of words through the phonemic awareness activity
- They have practiced recognizing words that begin with the /g/ sound
- The activity has helped the student understand that words are made up of individual sounds which can be manipulated
For continued development, encourage the student to create their own initial sound worksheets using different letters or even combine letters to form blends. You can also play games that involve identifying initial sounds in everyday objects or pictures.
