1. Alphabet Treasure Hunt: Hide alphabet cards around the house or classroom for your student to find. When they find a card, they say the letter and a word that starts with that letter.
  2. Phonics Bingo: Create bingo cards with different phonetic sounds. Call out words with those sounds, and the student marks the corresponding sound on their card.
  3. Letter Sound Hopscotch: Draw a hopscotch grid with letters instead of numbers. When the student lands on a letter, they have to say the sound that letter makes.
  4. Rhyming Word Puzzles: Provide your student with sets of rhyming words that they need to match together to complete a puzzle.
  5. Phonics Charades: Act out words with distinct phonetic sounds, and your student has to guess the word based on the sound.
  6. Letter Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of words that start with different letters. Your student has to find objects that represent those words.
  7. Phonics Memory Game: Make pairs of cards with pictures of objects and words that start with the same sound. Your student has to match the pairs.
  8. Letter Sound Relay Race: Divide the class into teams. Each team member has to run to a board, pick a card with a letter, and say a word that starts with that letter before passing the card to the next team member.
  9. Phonics Simon Says: Play a game of Simon Says where the commands include words with specific phonetic sounds that the student has to identify and perform the action associated with the sound.
  10. Letter Recognition Hula Hoop Toss: Place hula hoops on the ground, each with a letter written inside. Call out a word, and your student has to toss a bean bag into the hula hoop with the first letter of that word.
