A heartfelt poem dedicated to a beloved aunt who passed away due to cancer, written for a 13-year-old.
In Loving Memory of My Aunt
Oh dear Aunt, you were a light so bright,
With laughter that danced in the soft moonlight.
Your hugs were warm, a comforting embrace,
In your presence, worries found no place.
Through sunny days and the gentle rain,
You taught me courage through all the pain.
Though storms of life can bring us low,
You showed me strength, you helped me grow.
Cancer came like a thief in the night,
It took you away, dimmed our beautiful light.
But in my heart, you’ll forever stay,
In the memories we made, in games we would play.
Your spirit dances on whispering winds,
In every sunset, where love never ends.
Though I miss you, dear Aunt, it’s hard to bear,
I’ll carry your love, I’ll always care.
So here's to you, in the sky above,
A shining star, a symbol of love.
Aunt, rest easy, your battle is done,
In my heart, forever, you’ll always be one.
