What is a Disagreement?

A disagreement happens when two or more people have different ideas or feelings about something. For example, if you and your friend are playing and you want to play one game, but your friend wants to play another game, that’s a disagreement.

Why Do We Disagree?

It’s normal to disagree because everyone has their own thoughts and feelings. You might like the color blue, but your friend might like red. That’s okay! What’s important is how we handle disagreements.

How to Handle Disagreeing

  1. Listen: When someone disagrees with you, listen to their reasons before you talk. This shows you care about their opinion.
  2. Share Your Feelings: Use words to explain how you feel. You can say things like, 'I feel sad when we can’t play my game.' This helps others understand your side.
  3. Find a Solution: Try to come up with a way to play together. Maybe you can take turns or find a game that you both like.
  4. Stay Calm: It's important to keep calm even if you feel upset. Take a deep breath and use a kind voice.

Remember!

Disagreeing is okay, and it can even help us learn more about each other. What's most important is to be kind and respectful. Everyone can have their own thoughts, and we can still be friends!
