What is a Rocket?
A rocket is a special kind of vehicle that travels really fast into the sky. Think of it like a big tube that goes zooming up, up, and away! Rockets are used to take people or things, like satellites, into space.
How Does a Rocket Work?
Rockets are powered by something called fuel, which is a special liquid or gas. When the fuel burns, it makes a lot of hot air go out from the bottom of the rocket. This pushes the rocket up into the sky, making it fly high. Just like blowing up a balloon! When you let go, the air rushes out and the balloon flies away!
Why Do We Use Rockets?
Rockets help us explore space and learn more about our planet, the moon, and other planets. Sometimes, astronauts ride in rockets to do special adventures in space!
Fun Fact!
Did you know that the first rocket went into space over 60 years ago? Rockets have come a long way since then!
So, a rocket is like a super strong balloon that takes us on big journeys into the sky!
