Australia is a very big country, and it has many different places that are very different from each other. In the middle of Australia, it is very hot and dry because it is a desert. That means there is not much rain, and the sun shines a lot, making it very warm.

But if you go closer to the sea, which means near the beaches, it gets cooler. This is because the ocean helps to cool the air, making it more comfortable and not so hot. Also, near the sea, there is more rain, so the land can have trees, plants, and lots of animals.

Australia is special because it has many amazing and unique animals that you can’t find anywhere else in the world! Some of these animals are kangaroos, koalas, and wombats. These animals live in different parts of Australia, depending on what kind of homes and food they need. For example, kangaroos often live in open areas, while koalas live in eucalyptus trees near the coast.

So, Australia’s hot, dry centre and its cooler, greener coasts make it a very interesting place with many different animals living all across the country!
