1. What is a swamp like?
Imagine a big, watery place where the water is covered with tiny green plants called duckweed and moss. These plants look like a green blanket on top of the water. The swamp might have some small hills or mounds that stick out above the water. It’s kind of like a watery forest floor for plants and animals to live in!
2. How do mountain animals live so high up?
Mountains can be very tall and cold, with strong winds blowing all the time. Some animals live way up there where it is hard to breathe because there isn’t much air. These mountain animals have special ways to live there:
- They stay warm with thick fur or feathers.
- They are strong and can climb rocky hills easily.
- Their bodies use oxygen very well, so even though there is less air, they can still breathe.
- They find special food that grows there or hunt other animals.
So even though living on mountains is tough, animals have clever ways to stay safe, warm, and find food!
