What is a Swamp?
Imagine a big area filled with muddy water. This water is covered with tiny green plants called duckweed and soft mosses that look like a green blanket spreading everywhere! Sometimes, small hills pop up here and there, standing tall above the mud and water.
What Lives in the Swamp?
Swamps are homes for many different plants and animals. Frogs, insects, and birds love these wet and green places because they can find food and shelter easily.
What About Mountain Animals?
Now, let's talk about animals living high up in the mountains. These animals have to live where it's very cold, and the air is thin (less oxygen), making it hard to breathe.
Because of the cold and strong winds, mountain animals have thick fur to keep warm. Their bodies are special, helping them use the little oxygen available. Also, finding food is tricky because there aren't many plants or animals up there, so they know how to search well and eat different kinds of food.
Why Is This Important?
Learning about swamps and mountain animals helps us understand how different life on Earth is. Each place has its own special creatures that are suited to live there!
