Imagine a desert just after the rain, where the ground is wet, and the colorful cacti like prickly pear, cereus, and Echinocactus are blooming brightly with beautiful flowers. Little insects buzz around, and small animals play happily near the prickly plants and agave. Behind them, soft sand dunes stretch far, and sometimes you can see a big sandstorm swirling in the distance. When the desert is dry, the sand is warm and loose, and animals like lizards, birds, and desert foxes have fun chasing each other and finding shade under the plants. It’s a lively place where rain makes the desert bloom, and even when dry, the animals and plants work together to live happily in their special home.
