Let's learn how to draw a platypus coming out of its underwater home in a few simple steps!
- Start with the Entrance: Draw a small, curved tunnel opening at the bottom of the page. This represents the underwater entrance to the platypus's home. Make it look like a short, rounded cave.
- Draw the Water Surface: Above the entrance, draw a wavy horizontal line to show the surface of the water.
- Sketch the Platypus Body: Coming out of the tunnel, draw an oval shape for the platypus's body. It should be partly inside the cave and partly outside.
- Add the Head and Beak: At one end of the oval, draw a smaller oval for the head and add a flat, wide beak sticking out. The beak looks a bit like a rounded paddle.
- Draw the Legs and Tail: Add four short legs with webbed feet and a flat, paddle-like tail at the back end of the body.
- Add Details: Draw small eyes on the head, some lines on the webbed feet to show the fingers, and some fur texture on the body with short, curved lines.
- Add Water Details: Around the entrance and the platypus, draw some bubbles and wavy lines to show movement in water.
- Color Your Drawing: Use brown or dark grey for the body, orange for the beak and feet, blue for the water, and light brown or tan for the underwater tunnel.
Now, you've drawn a cool platypus coming out of its underwater home! Great job!
