Hello! Let's learn how to draw a GIANT SQUID that is so big it goes off the edge of the paper. That will help show how HUGE it is!
- Draw the Head and Eyes: Start by drawing a big oval shape near one side of your paper. This will be the squid's head. Add two big round eyes on this oval.
- Add the Mantle: Behind the head, draw a large elongated oval shape that will be the squid’s body (called the mantle). Make it very big, going towards the edge of your paper.
- Draw the Tentacles: Now, draw some long arms (tentacles) coming out from the head area. Make sure some tentacles go off the edge of the paper — this will make it look like the giant squid is so big we can’t see all of it!
- Details on Tentacles: Add little circles (suckers) on the tentacles to make it look real. You can make some suckers bigger near the edge and smaller as they get closer to the head.
- Partial Bleeding Effect: For the tentacles and part of the mantle going off the paper edge, don’t draw their ending — just cut off the lines at the edge. This is called 'bleeding' off the edge.
- Show Size with Other Things: To show how big the squid is, draw a tiny small fish or submarine near the squid for comparison.
- Color and Shade: Use colors like dark reds, purples, or browns. Add some shading on the body and tentacles to make it look 3D.
And there you go! You have a giant squid that looks HUGE because parts of it go off the edge of your paper.
