Welcome to the Savannah!
The savannah is a big, warm place where different animals live. Let's learn about three of these animals you might find there!
Pink Flamingoes
Pink flamingoes are pretty birds with long necks and legs. They stand in the water and catch tiny shrimp to eat. The shrimp gives their feathers a lovely pink color!
Striped Zebras
Zebras look like horses but have black and white stripes all over their bodies. They like to run around the savannah in groups called herds. Their stripes help them stay safe from other animals.
Huge Elephants
Elephants are very big animals with long trunks. They can use their trunks like a big straw to suck up water and then spray it on themselves to cool down when it's hot. Elephants also use their trunks to pick up food and to say hello to other elephants!
