Hello! Today, we are going to learn why frogs can’t be found at the North and South Poles.

The poles are really, really cold places on Earth. Animals that live there need special ways to stay warm and safe from the cold.

Frogs don't have thick fur or fat to keep warm, so they can't survive the freezing temperatures at the poles.

But some animals are perfect for cold places:

  • Polar bears have very warm, thick fur that keeps them cozy in the cold.
  • Walruses have a thick layer of fat under their skin called blubber that keeps them warm in icy water.
  • Penguins have two layers of feathers and soft down that keep them insulated. Although penguins are birds, they can't fly, but they are excellent swimmers!

So, animals that live at the poles are specially made to handle the cold. Frogs, without these special protections, have to live in warmer places where they can be safe and happy.
