Hi there! Let me tell you about a very clever bird called a Namaqua sandgrouse. This bird lives in dry places where water is very hard to find.

When the sandgrouse needs to give water to its baby chicks, it does something incredible! It flies to a pond and dips its belly feathers in the water. These feathers soak up the water like a sponge.

Then, the sandgrouse flies back to its nest, carrying the wet feathers full of water. When its chicks are thirsty, they drink the water from the feathers. This way, the sandgrouse makes sure its babies don’t get thirsty even in a hot, dry place.

Isn't it amazing how animals find smart ways to help their babies? The Namaqua sandgrouse is a wonderful example of care and love!
