Many birds choose to live in the city. They make their nests in places like attics (the space under the roof of houses), on ledges of tall buildings, and in small holes or spaces in bridges. When it gets cold in winter, people help birds by hanging feeders filled with seeds on windows or in trees so the birds have food to eat.
You can also say this like:
- Birds build their homes in busy places like cities, using spots on buildings and bridges.
- People help birds stay warm and well-fed in winter by putting out food for them on feeders hung from trees or windows.
- Birds live in small homes called nests in high places in the city.
- In cold months, we give birds food by hanging special bird feeders outside.
