Hi there! Did you know elephants have a special way to stay cool when it's hot outside? Since they are so big, they need to cool down so they don’t get too hot.

First, elephants spray water on their bodies using their trunks! Their trunks work like a water hose, letting them splash water all over themselves to cool off.

Second, elephants have very big ears that they wave back and forth. This is called fanning. When they flap their ears, it helps move the air around and cools down their bodies, like when we blow on something to help it cool.

So, elephants stay cool by spraying water on themselves and fanning their big ears. Isn’t that awesome?
