Welcome to Learning Letters!

Hi there! Let's have fun getting to know letters and learning how to write them.

Step 1: Meet the Alphabet

The alphabet is a set of 26 letters. There are two kinds – uppercase (big letters) and lowercase (small letters). Here are some examples:

  • A a
  • B b
  • C c

Try to sing the alphabet song to remember the letters in order!

Step 2: Recognize Letters

Look at different letters around you — on books, toys, or signs. Point to them and say their names out loud. This helps your brain remember what each letter looks and sounds like.

Step 3: Practice Writing Letters

Start by tracing letters with your finger on paper or sand. Then try writing them yourself with a pencil or crayon.

  1. Write big uppercase letters first — they're easier to make.
  2. Practice lowercase letters next since many words use them.
  3. Take your time and try to stay on the lines as much as possible.

Step 4: Have Fun with Words

When you know some letters, try to write simple words like cat, dog, or your name! You can sound out the letters to help you write.

Tips:

  • Practice a little every day.
  • Use colorful pencils or markers to make writing exciting.
  • Ask a grown-up for help if you need it.

Remember, learning letters takes time, so keep practicing and have fun!
