Animals Near and Far

Animals live all around us! Some animals live near where we live, like birds, squirrels, and dogs. These animals are part of our neighborhood and we might see them every day.

Other animals live far away in places we don’t usually visit, like in the deep forests, oceans, or deserts. For example, lions live far away in Africa’s grasslands, and penguins live far away where it’s very cold in Antarctica.
