Seabirds are special birds that live near the ocean. They like to eat fish, which they catch while flying over the sea. Most of the time, seabirds fly above the waves following big groups of fish called schools, so they can find food more easily.

Seabirds also spend time on land. When they do, they gather in groups, called colonies. Being together in groups helps them find food and also keeps their babies, called chicks, safe from danger.

So, seabirds spend their days flying over the water to eat fish and resting on land in groups to protect their families. That’s why they are very special birds that live between land and sea!
