Imagine a big, beautiful forest where lots of animals live. During the day, you can hear many birds singing happily in the trees. Their songs fill the air with music!
On the ground, a giant moose munches on grass. The moose is a big animal with long legs and big antlers on its head. It eats grass to get energy and stay strong.
Nearby, squirrels are busy looking for cones. Cones come from pine trees and squirrels like to collect them to eat later. They run quickly from tree to tree, carrying their cones in their little paws.
When the sun starts to set and it gets dark, the forest becomes quiet in a different way. Now, a lynx comes out to hunt. A lynx is a wild cat with sharp eyes and big paws. It moves carefully, listening and watching to catch its food.
While the lynx hunts, you can hear frogs croaking near the water. Frogs use croaking sounds to talk to each other, especially at night.
So, the forest is a busy place all day long, with different animals doing special things when it is day and when it is night!
