Imagine a forest is like a big, tall building with many floors or stories. Just like a building has different levels where people live and work, a forest has different layers where animals live and play.

At the very top, in the highest stories, squirrels jump and run on the treetops. They like to hop from branch to branch.

Below them, on the ground or closer to it, a big bear is busy eating sweet raspberries. Bears love tasty fruits!

In the tall grass near the ground, hares and hedgehogs hide and stay safe. They are very good at hiding because the grass helps them stay out of sight.

So, a forest is like a tall building with many stories, and each story is home to different animals who live and have fun in their own special places.
