How Do Beavers Build Their Homes?

Beavers are special animals that live near water, like rivers and ponds. They are very good builders! They build their homes, called lodges, using sticks, branches, and mud (which is wet clay and dirt).

The beaver gathers the sticks and sticks them together to make a strong house. Then, it uses the mud and clay to fill in the gaps and make the walls sturdy and waterproof.

One really cool thing about beaver homes is that the entrance is underwater! This means when the beaver goes inside its lodge, it swims underwater from outside and stays safe from danger.

Beavers work hard to keep their homes safe and cozy, showing how clever and amazing they are!
