When Firefighters Get a Call
Every day, firefighters are ready to help people when there is an emergency. When they get a call, here’s what happens:
- The Call Comes In: Someone dials 911 and tells the operator that there is a fire or someone is in trouble.
- Firefighters Jump Into Action: When the firefighters at the station hear the alarm, they quickly put on their special gear, which includes a helmet, jacket, and boots.
- Getting to the Fire: They rush to their fire truck, hop inside, and drive really fast to the place where the emergency is happening.
- Using Their Tools: Once they arrive, the firefighters use hoses, ladders, and sometimes even special tools to help put out fires or rescue people.
- Checking for Safety: After making sure everyone is okay, the firefighters will check the area to make sure there are no more dangers.
- Back Home: When the job is done, they go back to the fire station, ready for the next call!
Firefighters work as a team and are very brave. They help keep us safe every day!
