Hello! A rescue team is a group of helpers. They come when someone is hurt or in trouble.

Who is on a rescue team?

  • Firefighters: they drive big red trucks and wear helmets.
  • Paramedics or ambulance helpers: they help people who are sick or hurt.
  • Police officers: they keep people safe.
  • Lifeguards: they help people in the water at pools or beaches.

What do they do?

  • Find people who need help.
  • Make sure everyone is safe.
  • Take people to a doctor if they need one.

What to do if you see someone hurt:

  1. Stay calm and stay with your grown-up.
  2. Tell a grown-up right away (mom, dad, teacher).
  3. If there is no grown-up, find a safe grown-up and ask for help.
  4. If a grown-up says it is okay, they or you can call the emergency number with help.

Rescue teams are kind helpers who keep us safe. They wear special clothes and use big trucks and tools to help people. If you ever feel scared, find a grown-up and tell them.
