A farmer is a person who grows food and cares for animals.
Farmers do simple jobs you can imagine:
- Plant seeds and water plants so fruits and vegetables grow.
- Feed and take care of animals like cows, chickens, and sheep.
- Drive tractors to help on the farm and wear big boots and a hat.
Farmers help make the food we eat — like apples, carrots, milk, and eggs. Yum!
