Okay, imagine something really scary is happening, like a fire in a building! When that happens, we need special help. That's where a fire engine comes in!
When a fire starts, someone picks up the phone and calls for the firefighters. They tell the firefighters, 'Help! There's a fire!'
As soon as the firefighters hear about the fire, they quickly jump into the fire engine. A fire engine is like a big, bright red truck that has a siren that makes loud sounds like, 'Woo-woo!' It also has a big hose to spray water on the fire.
Then, they drive to the place where the fire is happening. This is called the scene. When they get there, they work together to make sure everyone is safe and to put out the fire. They spray water on it until the fire is gone!
So when we say, 'The fire engine goes to the scene,' it means that the firefighters are going to help people and stop the fire. They are superheroes in their big red truck!
