Quick Counting in a Busy Savannah (for a 7-year-old)

Look at the busy savannah and count the animals quickly. Say the number out loud and point to each animal as you count.

  1. One tall giraffe stretching its neck.
  2. Two striped zebras running together.
  3. Three sleepy lions resting under a tree.
  4. Four hopping kangaroos (or four springy antelopes).
  5. Five busy meerkats standing on watch.
  6. Six trumpeting elephants walking in a line.
  7. Seven colorful birds flying above.
  8. Eight scurrying little mice near the bushes.
  9. Nine slow tortoises sunning on a rock.
  10. Ten tiny frogs croaking by the water.

Challenge: Can you count them all in 15 seconds? Try it once, then try again to beat your time!
