Hello! A big city bus is a big, long car that carries lots of people. It drives around the city to take people where they want to go.
What it looks like: big windows to see outside, many seats, big wheels, and a driver in the front who steers.
How to ride a bus (always with a grown-up):
- Wait at the bus stop and hold the grown-up's hand.
- Get on the bus together and say hello to the driver.
- Sit down or hold a pole so you don’t fall.
- When your stop comes, hold the grown-up's hand and get off carefully.
Sounds: buses say "brum brum" when they go. They can be big and a little noisy, but they are helpful to get around.
Fun idea: Pretend-play a bus at home. You can be the driver, take tickets, and say "Next stop!"
