Hi! Traffic lights help cars and people stay safe.
There are three colors on a traffic light:
- Red — Stop. Stay still and hold the grown-up's hand.
- Yellow — Wait and get ready. The light is about to change.
- Green — Go. Cars can drive and people can walk if it is safe.
You will see traffic lights on tall poles at street corners. Always hold a grown-up's hand before crossing the road.
Try a quick game: Line up toy cars. Make a traffic light from red, yellow, and green paper. Show green for the cars to go and red for them to stop.
