A Ship Captain
A ship captain is the leader of a boat. The captain helps the boat go where it should go and keeps everyone safe.
What the captain does:
- Steers the ship (turns the wheel to go left or right).
- Uses a map to know where to go.
- Looks out for big waves and other boats.
- Tells the crew what to do.
- Says "All aboard!" and helps people get on and off.
Steps a captain might take:
- Put on a captain's hat.
- Check the map and the weather.
- Hold the wheel and steer.
- Watch the sea to keep everyone safe.
Being a captain is like being the boss of the boat who cares for everyone.
