Baby Turtle!
Look — a tiny swimmer is getting ready to meet the world. Inside the egg a baby turtle grows a little hard shell on its back. The shell is like a cozy, safe house.
How the baby turtle comes out (easy steps):
- First, the baby turtle taps the egg with its little beak and makes a tiny crack.
- Next, it wiggles and pushes until the egg opens more.
- Then the baby slips out — it already has its snug shell on its back!
- After that, it shuffles toward the water and starts to swim.
The shell keeps the baby turtle safe, like a built-in backpack. It doesn’t mean the turtle can hide inside forever — it grows and learns to swim and find food.
