Corrected, kid-friendly sentence:
I'm a white blood cell! I fight germs to keep you healthy.
If you want the science word, you can say:
I'm a leukocyte (loo-koh-site)! I fight microbes to keep you healthy.
Why these changes?
- Use "white blood cell" — it's an easy way for a 5-year-old to understand what a leukocyte is.
- Use "germs" or "microbes" without "the" — saying "the microbes" sounds like you mean some specific microbes. We mean germs in general, so we leave out "the."
- Don't use all caps (LEUCOCYTE) — normal letters look nicer: "leukocyte" or "white blood cell."
- Punctuation is fine: an exclamation mark shows excitement, then a normal sentence works.
Short version to remember: "I'm a white blood cell! I fight germs to keep you healthy."
